Michael Palmer - One half of the well established Northumbrian Craft Pottery.

20 years as a production potter still making hundreds of pots a week
Michael has a very down to earth approach to throwing and enjoys sharing
his skill with others. His aim to have absolute beginners, competent throwers
by the end of the three days.

Steve Mills - master kiln builder / pyromaniac

Steve recently retired as a director of Bath Potters Supplies to concentrate
on his first love of making pots, designing and building kilns and generally
playing with fire.
Over the years he has built kilns and taken part in major
ceramics festivals all over the world, mostly recently being invited to
demonstrate his ideas in Japan.

Steve's backyard kilns are just that. Simply designed, easily built and
fired and cheap to make using readily available material.

The group will have very hands on experience in building and firing a
wood-fired salt glaze kiln as well as access to Steve's vast knowledge
of what might be considered unusual or even bizarre kilns.
